So, I am planning two great giveaways in collaboration with two very talented individuals, who I cannot wait to reveal here (all in good time!)
The first is to celebrate my Victorian Romance 'The Mill Owner's Son,' the second to launch my horror anthology 'Hag's Breath' this coming October.
But here's my question - whether you are a reader, an author, or both:
Do I pose a question for the competition which means that anyone entering has to have read the book, i.e a story based question? Is this a good idea or is it off-putting? It might drive up sales and reads, there again it might have the opposite effect...
Or do I simply do the 'names in a hat' thing, as I did recently with The Bird Dance?
I would be grateful for views on this folks. Which competition format would you be most likely to enter?
