TWO Halloween Competitions!

S P Oldham
 10/15/2017 03:28AM

Competition Number 1:

What better time to indulge in a little witchcraft and spookery than Halloween? In honour of the fast approaching Big Day, I am running a little Dark Fiction competition. There are a variety of witches in 'Hag's Breath: A Collection of Witchcraft and Wickedness,' and a variety of entities in 'Wakeful Children: A Collection of Horror and Supernatural Tales' (all written by me!) To win a download of both books, just comment with the name of some dark entity that you have made up yourself! The more chilling (imo) the better. There's plenty of inspiration out there - think Babadook, Ereshkigal and Krampus for example. But no cheating! Must be entirely original. If you want to give more than a name, up to you. Looking forward to reading these!

Get creative and have fun!

Competition Number 2:

Halloween is fast approaching and so in the spirit (pardon the pun) of the season I am running a little competition! Some of the characters in 'Sleep, Think, Die' have very unusual names - Mad Gasher, Rumble Strips, Bumper Scuffs and Lavender Gin. Once you learn the story behind their 'names' they don't seem quite so ridiculous... But here's the question. What is the most unusual/outlandish/plain crazy name you can think of for a character in a Zombie novel, and what's the reason behind it? Most original and unique (imo) will win a free download of 'Sleep, Think, Die' and a free download of the sequel 'The Undertaking' upon its release.

Get creative and let's have some fun!
